Plaster of Paris, often abbreviated as POP, is a type of gypsum-based plaster widely used for various construction and artistic applications. It has based on two types of settings one is 25 minutes another one is 15 minutes. It’s named after the city of Paris, France, where it was first widely used in the 17th century. Plaster of Paris is created by heating gypsum (calcium sulfate dihydrate) to a high temperature, which removes the water molecules and leaves behind a dry, powdery material. When mixed with water, Plaster of Paris rehydrates and forms a paste that can be shaped and molded before it sets into a hard and solid structure.
